Off to the Races

Today we drove to Matfors, about 90 minutes away, to meet one of the people we have know the longest in Sweden, even if she was a small child when we first met!
Together with her husband and son, Alex, they had driven to Matfors for the junior Swedish x-country skiing championships. Since we aren't often this close to each other we decided to meet up.
Alex was skiing for his local ski/sports club and here you can see him in the relay race, 3 x 2,5 kilometres. As always it was lovely to meet up and exchange news. The last time we met up it was a bit warmer...

... and Alex and I were climbing the Via Ferrata on Sluleberget.
Once the races were over we sat and chatted a while over a burger and they headed south for the long drive home, and we drove on to Livia and Roger's for a delightful evening of good food, and good company.
