Wild and very windy

This morning I ventured out for a walk up to Almscliffe Crag. 
After the weekend storm things were rather muddy underfoot, but it was so windy and wild up there! I had a job holding myself steady for these photos, but the sunlight and blue sky was very welcome. Apart from a crop, this shot and the extra are both straight out of the camera.

I have just noticed the optional theme for Wide Wednesday is water - but I'll tag it anyway :)
