The Next Generation

This young fantail is the offspring of the black fantail that gave me so much pleasure for a year and a half.  Sadly, I have not seen the black one for two weeks, but its pied mate and the chick are still visiting. Fantails are short-lived. My black friend had a good life, and I feel privileged to have been part of it for so long.
