A change of plan for the day

We had a phone call soon after 7 o'clock this morning to say that Mum-in-Law's condition had deteriorated overnight, so after a quick breakfast we headed off in the car to Macclesfield, to her care home.

We got here about 12.30. She's been intermittently uncomfortable but as I write this (5.30pm) she's resting comfortably after some sedation from the District Nurses. She's a tough old soul but it's just a waiting game now. At 96 she's had a good innings.

The care home staff are magnificent, so caring - for Mum-inLaw and for us too.
