Chaffinch

Most chaffinch I see are scrutinising the ground in the hope of finding something good to eat  -  either that or they position themselves sideways on to the camera. I liked this one because I could see his face and his bright plumage at the same time.

Valentine's Day and we've both failed miserably, neither of us thought to arrange anything special to mark the day and when we tried to book a table at our favourite spot we were told "it's Valentine's Day, we've been booked up for weeks. Nevertheless we shall enjoy our own Valentine's dinner at home and there'll be no driving involved!  :-)
