River Calder

Apart from going down to the river very early this morning I haven't been out as we battened down the hatches in anticipation of storm Dennis.  So far it's not been any worse than many other storms but I expect it will worsen sooner or later.  The river is high and running fast and I feel for the people who live close to it, those properties always look enticing until the weather turns bad.  I hope the storm will soon blow itself out and that everyone manages to stay safe and dry.
