The Outlet...

So much for forecast rain. It has been warm and muggy all day with heavy clouds but only a few little spots of rain. Fingers crossed we’ll get rain tomorrow and Tuesday. The wind has arisen tonight and is now quite strong and gusty. After a month’s break I went back to the Gym early this morning. It was good to catch up with some gym friends.
Great friend Ricky, here from Auckland for a few days, visited early afternoon and thankfully sorted out problems with my editing program on our big desktop computer. I so appreciate his knowledge and skills. Another computer expert, Grant, had spent time on Friday sorting out the actual computer which had crashed following Windows 10 updates. We are very grateful for Grant’s skills. Don’t ever retire Grant!
Maisie and I walked around the lake at the Taylor Dam this evening. We haven’t been there for weeks as we’ve been avoiding long dry grasses. This image shows the actual outlet under the dam structure in the distance. The river drains through there and when flood levels rise the outlet blocks off and the water backs up in the lake.
