Building site

This was the view out of S & C ‘s front window this afternoon - I felt sorry for the workmen trying to work in the rain with mud everywhere . At least we were able to abandon our gardening attempts and come inside.

I have told S that he will just have to be patient and wait for better weather - it is impossible to do anything with the waterlogged clay soil just now. 

There is so much water lying in the surrounding countryside and the river Avon is very high and very mud coloured.

Unfortunately as we live almost 400 miles away it is not a simple matter to come back and help.
