First day back at work after nearly a fortnight off...and it was across town. At a forum. All day. Where the word 'facilitate' got used a lot.

Was having a look at the Cineworld listings over teatime when I saw there was a preview screening on tonight that I didn't know about - Dark Waters. I went along and it was all very solid and, I have to admit, I found it all pretty engaging. Mark Ruffalo turns in a good performance and director Todd Haynes keeps it all ticking over in procedural fashion although I would never have guessed it was one of his films from the style, or lack of it. Not *that* kind of Todd Haynes film then. I already said 'solid', add 'robust' to the list of potential adjectives whilst you're at it.
