The Brits 2020

After a half day of work for us both, we headed for the O2 Arena in London. We've always wanted to go to The Brit awards (for anyone not in the UK or familiar with them, these are the annual UK awards for pop and rock music). This year is the 40th anniversary of the first award ceremony and eagle eyed Annie spotted some ticket availability a few months back so we snapped them up. The show is broadcast live on TV but as usual with these events, there was something a bit special about being there. As well as the awards themselves, we saw a set of live performances from currently popular and high profile artists. The show was competently compared by Jack Whitehall including some very amusing bits not broadcast on tv during the ad breaks!

There were several stand out performances, rappers Dave and Stormzy particularly memorable. The blip is Billie Eilish who performed her latest release which happens to be the theme music for the upcoming new James Bond movie. In the extras a shot of Lizzo who made quite an impression at the show. 

We had a great night, maybe we'll do it again next year.
