Everyday I Write The Book

Close friends

Went to Maud and the Rogster’s for dinner. Excellent evening with them and a couple of other rather lovely friends with topics as varied as central heating systems, cinema, the perils of life in the NHS, and kits for cleaning pet poop off the upholstery. Four hours went in a flash.

They have a rather nice house with lots of art and objets de desir such as these two little cuties. According to one website "Originating from Northern Japan, Kokeshi dolls are handmade from wood, have a simple trunk with no arms or legs and an enlarged head. They are often exchanged amongst friends with written messages stored within them as tokens of friendship."

The Dizzle and I did garden dejunking heroics today and TSM was kitchen hero. Exhausting stuff, went back to bed for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

The only other highlight to my day was reading up on the history of QR codes on Wikipedia. They started in the Japanese motor industry in the 1990s so have been around quite a long time... no don’t ask me why I did it ...

Re the Kokeshi dolls, see the extra and see if you can work out who is who ... or if you want one of yourself or a loved one you can have it made here https://sketchinc.bigcartel.com/product/custom-kokeshi-doll
