Calm (Day 1754)

There was no wind this morning. After such a long time struggling with gales, it is a huge relief to have had some respite, and for the forecast to be good for the next few days.
I headed to town to collect a WC, basin, units and other bits and bobs for C&C's shower room, then through to Stromness to make a start on fitting them. The WC and its unit took a bit longer to fit than I had planned, mainly because the work space is so small, but it was done by lunchtime. The plan for after lunch was to get the wall hung basin unit and the basin fitted. Unfortunately the manufacturer has sent out a really badly damaged unit and there was absolutely no point in me fitting it. I cleared up and headed to town with it. A replacement will be home next week.
I was back at home for a late afternoon trip to Stromness with  my beautiful wife to bring the horses in for the night, and to get a quick pic of the view across to Hoy.
