Poole’s Cavern

We’ve been to a few caves while we were in Australia as has previously been blipped (Mammoth, Ngilgi and Jewel) but this is the first one we’ve visited in the UK. This is Poole’s Cavern. Main difference for us in this one was that it was wet outside so the limestone was dripping, raining inside!

This one section they lit with UV lights. The lighter parks show the fresh calcite deposits.

Spent the rest of the day wandering around Buxton. Lunch, museum, look at the shops and coffee... then ice cream!
