The Thieving Magpie

So we have the fat balls in a squirrel-proof feeder but nobody said anything about it being magpie-proof. A couple of them make regular stabs at the food but so far gain little more than a beakful before their balance gives way.
This one seems to have an odd growth on its right ankle but it appears to cause no encumbrance as yet.
