Apples and pears (or something like that)

Personally, I’ve been trying to avoid using plastic bags for years (the operative word being ‘trying’: my life has, in no way, been plastic-free). These goodies, from the market in our city, are held by various reusable bags I have - some that I made before the supermarkets cottoned on to the waste-free thing and others I’ve bought in the fruit and veg sections of the aforementioned supermarkets. I’ll be honest, I still feel a bit of a prat when I refuse the offer of a plastic bag to hold my apples or carrots - I hate drawing attention to myself and it always raises a comment. That said, I’d feel worse coming home with a bundle of single use plastic.
