Coffee and cake

Today's the day …………………….. to stay indoors

A truly wet, cold and horrible day - we didn't venture far.

A quick trip to Castle Douglas for lovely coffee and cake in the Earth's Crust Bakery  and then a browse in the warehouse of treasures/clutter that is Hazel's Antiques.  Then home for the rest of the day - to read books and potter.

Only a friend as good as Sue (see extra) would spend time getting my Mother's sewing machine to work again - and then sew up the hems of Will's trousers, at present held in place with safety pins.  And then, what's more, tidy my sewing box and restore some order in there.

It's so good to spend time with friends ………………….
