My favourite pool

This is the view from my balcony. The pool is seawater and they say it is about 19 degrees.. It is wonderfully refreshing and rarely crowded.

I walked back from The Forum after meeting some friends for coffee and I was able to enjoy a refreshing swim before the Hawk arrived.

I’ve blipped the hawk. He comes with a handler for an hour in the morning and a couple of hours in the afternoon.

I’m a wimp. I get too stressed when he swoops low over the pool and I’m swimming. The pool attendant who has been here for years is helpful and asks the falconer to stay at the other end of the gardens until I’ve finished. 

The hawk has done a marvellous job keeping our hotel clear of pigeons (and seagulls.) he’s beautiful- but I still head for cover when he swoops.
