Sheltering from the wind

It looked like it would be an awful day today when I woke up to heavy rain and wind. I went into work and fitted a couple of quartz mechanisms to modern clocks before dismantling a much finer mechanical movement. I had time for a coffee in town before coming home, by which time the rain had stopped and the clouds had parted. I cleaned the mechanism I had brought back and then went for a bracing walk. It was cold but nice to be out in the sunshine. I have now lit a fire and will watch some sport on television.
