Glendalough
Another photo from the weekend :)
Last night was an interesting nights sleep as I leapt out of bed in the middle of the night because of a wasp that made its way into the sheets. Initially the stings felt akin to that of a scorpion (as I have had one of those bite me in a sleeping bag before) but quickly realised I was on the wrong continent. Luckily I found it fairly quickly and made my way back to bed after googling about wasp (or hornet) species in Europe and quickly realised their stings are not venomous in any way and that they play an important ecological function. On closer inspection this morning I found 5 stings, and told my friend the story with enthusiasm :)
Although Ireland had its first confirmed case of Coronavirus pass through Dublin Airport a few days ago, there were no delays or reasons for concern. I did find myself washing my hands though with a bit more intent.
