Doing the day job..
Back to work on the day job this morning.
A long series of very productive meetings about constituency cases in my Dunoon office, a visit to the Argyll Hotel to celebrate Scottish Apprenticeship Week (see my extra picture) and then two hours in CalMac HQ in Gourock talking about progress with the Islay Ferry Manifesto are the reality of the work of the constituency MSP for Argyll and Bute - as is the wonderful scenery, regular boat trips (like the one from Dunoon ) and (sometimes) the sunshine that illuminated the day and cheered everyone up after what has felt like weeks of wind and rain.
And the Islay Ferry Manifesto, agreed at the Ferry Summit which I blipped last October, is turning out to be a really good tool for finding an agreed and collaborative way forward with difficult issues which I hope might be adopted and adapted for other places.
