The Lens Project

A breezy start to the day, but fell away before tea, and been flat calm.  A dry morning, showers after lunch, and then a lovely sunny late afternoon.  Clear skies tonight, and frosty.

I've been on a training session all day.  Great to get home now and it's still light for walkies with Sammy.  A fairly lazy evening, and then off to work in the pub later.

A few of us have been on the Lens project training sessions today.  We all put our idea for a project at work to the Lens, and we've been finalised for the final stage and possibly getting the funding for our idea.  Mine is photo based, and using our collection at the museum, working with the public and getting out to communities.  It was spread across all the Trusts, Shetland Amenity, Recreational and Shetland Arts.  At this point, we all had to stand up and pitch our ideas in front of a camera, nerve wracking.  Here's Tracy (Hawkins), who also works at the museum, and I went to school with, along with Rachel from the Lens, Evie and Peter on the left.  Taken in the Green Room, Mareel, Lerwick.
