Walking North Roe

A lovely calm day.  It was quite cloudy this morning, but turned into a sunny day, apparently the sunniest and warmest in Scotland.  Breezy tonight.

I had a day off work, and up early.  Met mam and bro Jonny, and we headed to aunt Joan's funeral.  Back home this afternoon, and mam helped out in the garden, which was great to clear the head.  Met friend Julie for walkies in Burra this evening, and popped along Lorraine's to get some cuttings.  Feet up now.

There was Covid-19 restrictions on the funeral today.  Mam was invited with the limited numbers, and Jonny was a pallbearer.  I headed from the hall, to the kirk yard, where I paid my respects.  The long walk gave me time to reflect and enjoy happy memories, especially as I passed aunt Joan's house.  Just so strange not being able to hug cousin's and family, but they know we are here for them.  Part of my walk past by the old Methodist kirk, here on the waterfront at North Roe.
