Some Miniature Frostiness In The Garden

A bright frosty start to the day and I was working from home, always a treat, but more so on a Monday and when it gives me the chance to get up close and personal with some miniature frostiness in the garden.

Had some bad news from the yard today with a phone call from the farrier to say there were problems with China’s front feet! It seems that there is some significant damage to the hoof walls meaning that shoes can’t be fitted by the traditional nails as the walls are too brittle. So I have had to order some glue on remedial shoes for him. It shouldn’t disrupt his work pattern for too long but they are a more expensive alternative. Hopefully he won’t need them for too long before the healthy hoof grows through.
