Busy day.

We went to the Playhouse at the Macrobert Arts Centre, University of Stirling this evening to see “The Angels’ Share” - a film about a young lad and his friends trying to turn over a new leaf; it involves whisky and distilleries, and was set in Glasgow and other parts of Scotland we know well. Not a new film, but a Ken Loach classic from 2012. It stopped twice, I thought we’d end up missing the rest of the film.

It was frosty when we left the University (after a campus walk). We found the motorway access was closed off, so we followed the diversion. It took us back onto the motorway 15 min later. Then it too was closed. We’d “a long road for a shortcut” journey home. Fortunately the traffic was light and surfaces gritted.

Earlier in the day I went out for a coffee with a friend who’d had a hospital scan the day before. He finished drug treatment last Friday. He’s had textbook care by NHS Scotland since late summer.

Had a walk at one of my local haunts after lunch. Showery but more blue sky than of late.
