Leisurely

Up earlyish, this morning, to drive Dan into Manchester from Chorley so he could get a couple of his lessons in at RNCM before this afternoon's matinée performance of 'Grease'.

I hung out in the refectory area while he had his lessons and I was all set for heading up to Lancaster when he finished but he suggested a bite to eat in the Northern Quarter, which sounded like a very pleasant plan.

Although it was raining when we arrived, it had turned out to be a nice day, as evidenced by the blue sky in this photo, which I took as we walked from the car to Common. We're doing pretty well as vegetarians, which I think has been far more of a challenge for Dan, and we both enjoyed pancakes and berries, as well as our coffees.

After that, we could have whizzed straight up to Lancaster but it seemed a shame to rush so instead we turned off the motorway at Preston and took the A6 up to Lancaster, which was nice and leisurely, still arriving in plenty of time for Dan to get set up for the last two performances.
