Tyninghame
We went out to East Lothian to have a walk on a beach and ended up at Tyninghame where we could combine beach and rock at St Baldred’s Cradle. It was bright but not too sunny and hardly any wind so it was seriously spring like. There were lots of birds around, Oystercatchers, Shelduck, Eider Ducks, Curlew, Redshanks, Shags and a lot of seagulls. The area is really interesting geologically with the main rock being Sandstone with volcanic rocks intruded and extruded over the sandstones. The blip is from St Baldred’s Cradle looking south west over Belhaven Bay. The extras are scenery around St Baldred’s Cradle and details of sandstone.
