Noisy Monks
These birds certainly do not belong to a silent order of monks. To me these are parrots, but apparently their proper name is Monk Parakeet. They are a breed of parrot and there are a lot of them around, not only in Malaga, but also in other places we visited, especially Nerja.
Green and rather pretty, they are very noisy, and always chatting loudly to each other. I think they have to be loud to make themselves heard to each other. A competition to see who can shout the loudest. Luckily there were none in the immediate vicinity of our hotel.
Our final morning of this short visit to Andalucia. A walk to the beach, the Marina and a coffee and a cake at the cafeteria in front of the hotel. We paused at the Marina to visit the stalls at the Friday Market. A couple of last minute purchases were made.
The extra shows our view of Malaga and the harbour as the plane turned northwards just after take off. With the image enlarged I can just about see the bullring and our hotel next door.
