Lanhydrock roasting spit.
Back Blip.
( have put a blip up for 7 March 2020)
Missed this one off by mistake.
Called at Lanhydrock on the way back from Cornwall.
What a wonderful house. The kitchens were amazing.
This photo is the roasting spit over the huge fireplace.
After a devastating fire in 1881, the Jacobean house was refurbished in high- Victorian style.
The National Trust now own the property, and everything is spotless and all the copper was shining.
We certainly enjoyed our visit.
