Tree fellers

Yes, I know there's only 2 fellers, but it's just a little St Patrick's Day joke for you.

George and his pal were being cowboys today and they decided they wanted to "make lassos". I started to think of where I could find some rope and whether that would be a safe thing to do, so I was a bit surprised when they asked for pens and paper. They drew straight-ish lines on the paper and then asked for scissors to cut them out. They cut along the lines, but the results weren't quite what they had expected.

By coincidence, Matthew went to Cubs tonight where their challenge was to work out how you can climb through a sheet of A4 paper. The solution is that you fold it lengthwise, then cut into it from alternate sides, leaving just a little at the edge. This then creates a long "paper chain" which is easy to pass through.

I reckon George and Ruaridh would have no problems with that one!
