Classic Canadian Party

Lauralea and I were invited to a friend’s birthday party tonight. He turned 98 years old today.

98 years old. That’s a long time. At least it seems like it. But guys that old tell me it goes quickly. I sort of get that.

But as we sat there eating pizza and cake, it dawned on me just how Western Canadian Rural that party was.

The birthday boy wanted the curling left on, and everybody who was thankful for that, sat on the side of the room facing the tv.

Curling on the tv on, in spite of a party going on. Now that’s Canadian.


And we all had a lovely time. :)
