Cookies from mom

Each year at Christmas my mom makes me some of these crescent shortbread cookies, and send them off to me.

I tend to hoard them just a bit. I opened the tin tonight and rationed myself three small samples.

One of these years she won’t be able to make them for me. I don’t think she does this for any of the other kids, so it’s my little treat. Even when I was a kid, I would sneak these ones out of the freezer before Christmas.

So for now I enjoy these little reminders of love.
