Thumbs up
Took Thomas to school this morning and was pulled aside by his teacher to say that he went to the toilet lots yesterday. That's each of his 3 teachers/TAs who have mentioned it to us, and though I was fairly convinced that there's nothing particularly wrong with him, I thought we better get him checked out, so phoned the doctors and got him an appointment for this afternoon.
Me and Chloe spent the day reading and food shopping, and then I made a sausage casserole in the slow cooker whilst she had a power nap.
Ben got home just in time to stay with Chloe whilst me and Thomas went to the doctors.
The doctor took a history, asked if I was 'medical' said it sounded like diabetes to him too, was very confused when I said there had been no glucose in Thomas's urine. He checked some obs which were all fine and got thomas to do another sample, which was once again clear. Then went to discuss him with another doctor.
The nurse came in and did a thumb prick, she was really good and Thomas didn't even flinch. BM also fine, so no real reason for the symptoms and we were sent home and told to go back if it carries on.
On the way back to the car thomas said 'mummy it felt a bit like something pricked my thumb!' he also insisted on holding a tissue onto his thumb because it was bleeding 'lots' (there was a tiny drop) and it meant he couldn't possibly put his seat belt on by himself!
