Firsts
A day of a few firsts.
With Joshua home we had the excuse, if we needed one, to visit the new ‘Four Teas Tearoom’ in Falmouth for breakfast.
Amazing place, full of WWII memorabilia including cigarette boxes, rationing books, uniforms etc. I went for the Cpl Jones Breakfast which consisted of three fried eggs and three slices of fried spam with black coffee and toast, Clare opted for the Black Market Breakfast, a full English and Josh for a BLT. The food was great and mine evoked memories of my younger days when Spam was a staple.
In the evening we went to the cinema to see 1917 not Clare’s cup of tea but Joshua and I enjoyed it. The ‘action’ is relentless but I guess that’s the effect the director wanted by shooting the film in one continuous sequence.
Lastly we tried the Boslowick ‘Chippy’ for dinner, arriving shortly before closing they cooked fresh for us which we took home to enjoy and enjoy it we did, generous portions great taste.
