Needle Felted Easter Egg

Dear Diary,

I had to try making a felted Easter egg.  This is the result.  When I was finished, I looked around for some way to keep it from rolling around.  Grandma's button box saved the day.  Removing the shank from one large, old coat button, I glued the egg to it and voila!  A perfect base for the egg!  I've photographed it in front of the lovely card I received from fellow blipper, DDW.  I thought it made the perfect spring-time background.  Thanks DDW and thank you Grandma for never throwing away a button!
