I took another bag of books to Oxfam and was thinking of going to see the talk on the NHS with Frank Field and Andrew Forsey but decided it would probably be depressing and not the best way to spend a day off so I got a new pair of waterproof leggings to replace my not waterproof leggings and went up Catbells. I didn’t see anyone at all until I was heading down (if you know Catbells you’ll know how rare that is) and then the leggings got a thorough baptism as it heaved down.
