No feet on seats...

Train trip home from my mate's place. 10:30pm. Fairly empty train. I put my legs up like this. Clearly my feet are not on the seats.

Inspectors come through, and try to fine me for having my feet on seats. This did not bode well with me, as I'm tired and grumpy, it's been a hot day, and I just want to curl up in bed.

Managed to get out of being fined by pointing out I had not moved since they came up to me. I couldn't hear or see them coming as my back was to them and my earplugs blasting music. My feet were clearly not in breach of the no feet on seats rule. There is no rule against legs on seats. And trains have CCTV from all angles, which would also verify my feet not being on the seats. If they were to fine me, I would appeal it, with due cause.
Inspectors don't like it when someone knows their rights and fights back.
