Auckland Sky Tower
Today we had a day wandering around Auckland city centre, with two trips up the Sky Tower. So far this was our longest walking day of the holiday, at 8 miles.
We took pictures of the patterns reflected in the buildings (first extra), and had a look at a couple of cruise ships - one massive one in the dock, and a smaller one that came in as we watched (second extra).
We then had a look at an area that is being rejuvenated called Silo Park, which contained some old silos (third extra) that had some lovely shadows on the side.
Next we grabbed some lunch from a cafe and made our way up to the top of the Auckland Sky Tower. This has 360 degree views all around the area and we had a great time photographing the city from above.
After having a cuppa at the top we walked up to Albert Park and had a wander around the Auckland Art Gallery. We then stopped for dinner at a cafe and then returned back to the top of the Sky Tower to watch sunset (main blip). The city then lit up slowly (last extra).
We walked back from the tower to our hotel.
