At three o'clock, my colleagues where gathered around a laptop, to hear the press conference the prime minister was giving. I sensed great disappointment about the news that the schools will stay open eventhough everybody is advised to avoid large crowds. The school principal laughed cheerfully, teasing that we will receive a 10 percent hazard surcharge.

Well, it sounds odd to close everything except schools. Our two schools have 440 pupils and I am surrounded by 90 toddlers. Believe you me, it is very difficult to ensure that they wash their hands regularly. After every sneeze.

I have mixed feelings about it all.
