the long wait is over
'.....who satisfies your desires with good things'
eleven days ago, while i was in the uk, i had a job interview. i've felt for a number of months now that this is the right time to leave zambia. a friend had emailed me a job advert but the interview dates were all after i'd left for zambia. thankfully, they pulled out all the stops and set up an interview for me the evening before i left. they had 3 more interviews to do, which were yesterday, so i've had a long wait to find out.
i waited all day.....nothing.
i stayed up till way past my bedtime.....nothing.
i checked my phone in a bleary eyed state at 1.3oam.....good news.
from april, i will be the new director of shrewsbury youth for christ.
i'm excited beyond words.
i have had the most amazing three years in zambia and i will miss it. but i am overwhelmed with a peace that this is God's next step for me and i know that he as never led me to a place that hasn't been entirely brilliant. so, here's to the next step. i feel like my 30th year is going to be a good one.
do you reckon white kids with bare feet will chase after me on my bike rides, shouting 'how are you i'm fine'. probably not.
