Warmth

My woodburner is in! So lovely to have heat in the kitchen once more and what a joy to use! It's really responsive to the 3 levers to control the intensity of the burn and what a lovely heat! Plus it looks damn gorgeous!
I had 3 builders in today - The Woodburner guy, The Painter/The Musician ( partner of Friends eldest daughter) and of course The Builder! It was a hive of activity in the kitchen and boy there was a lot of tea, coffee and cakes consumed! I was also baking 2 sourdoughs! In the midst of this Nellie of The Woods called by to have a look! The only worrying bit of the day was Oscar - he began limping late last night and was doing the same in the morning so I cancelled his playdate with Ivy. He seemed fine on the short walk to The Potters to deliver the sourdough but at midday he had the runs!  He spent the rest of the day in his basket in the front room! Come the evening he began to liven up and certainly liked his rug infront of the fire!
