Happy Builders!

My three happy men! The Builder, The Painter and The Chimney Guy! Sounds like a Peter Greenaway film! The builder put in my sink and long worktop, The Painter continued painting and cleaning the beams, The Chimney Guy fitted cowls on my 4 chimneys to stop the rooks from nesting in them! This will hopefully also limit the rain coming down the chimneys, my attic wall is wet from all the rain we've had - never had this before, sign of the times.
I had a walk with a very different start and finish. The man at the end of the terrace was out in the back lane throwing a ball for his collie. Yesterday I had quite a job restraining Oscar from running down to greet her, today with painful hips ( it happens now and then!) I failed and he pulled the lead from my hand. He ran down and the collie snapped at him and then Oscar got his ball. The man grabbed the handle on his harness and snatched  it from his mouth! How very rude. He did gave an apology of not seeing us - seriously?!! Oscar was barking before I even opened the gate, then we appeared and he could see us and hear us! Next time he is there I will ask him to go in his back gate till we have passed - I'd like to tell him to take his dog for a proper walk too! I had a very lovely walk through the woods and on the way back bumped into Sourdough man who declared my latest Sourdough to be perfection!! So a lovely end to our walk!
Later in the afternoon my legless sofa from Ikea arrived - so exciting! Once the builders had left I spent the evening infront of the woodburner putting together my new swivel chair and step ladder! The sofa will have to wait till the end of the week to be constructed!
