A day out

I took today off as TOIL for last Saturday but I was still checking and responding to emails because of the Corvid19 pandemic. Today the university has cancelled all face-to-face tutorials so there were tutor queries about that and lots of emails clarifying wider stuff. It didn't spoil the day but I did feel slightly guilty going out for lunch when the news is so grim and we're practising "social distancing".

Down to Dungeness first and then along the coast to Hythe for some shopping. No toilet rolls or liquid soap available but I didn't need any so that's all good - for now. The cashier said that the store had been mobbed most of the morning, people queuing in the aisles, and that's why so many items were out of stock.

Then to the Hythe Bay Seafood Restaurant for lunch and jolly nice it was too. I had cod and chips and you'll see my pint of lime & soda.
