Last hurrah!
As of Monday 8am, no-one can leave their homes unless it's to buy food, an emergency, or go to work (if it's not already been shut down). The police have taped up the kids parks (they look like crime scenes!) and the airport is shutting. We drove to our deserted beach for a bit of fresh air...the kids took their bubbles. I liked the extra of Asha, but she and Danny preferred the main pic.
Ibiza's response to Covid-19 has been swift and strong, in part to stop any spread of the virus, but also because we only have 1 small hospital with capacity for only 5 Covid-19 cases!! So it really wouldn't take much for things to collapse.
Asha is taking everything in her stride, we're looking at the positives in all of this. Also praying for wisdom on how to support our homeless friends who don't have homes to retreat to and can't easily wash hands. Working out how to continue cooking for them - maybe agreeing a drop point and time??
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Fresh air and a change of scenery.
2) Leaders with good communication skills. We all know what's happening, why and when.
3) Having a lovely home to retreat to.
