Saturday: Red Wharf Bay

We went looking for wild geese this morning. MrD had heard a pair flying over and reminded me that I’d mentioned going to the far side of the beach where there’s a field we saw them in years ago. They weren’t there today ... we continued our walk and returned to the van along the beach.
We startled a Little Egret which made a strange noise, flew up into the air then dropped into the reeds and disappeared.
Some family history this afternoon and another episode of “Sherlock”.
Wind again tonight and pouring with rain :-((
