The parish flock
My best friend Sophie and I are totally mentally drained by the coronavirus situation now. Sophie starts a new job in Stockholm on Friday next week and needs to do a days work before she can get paid and generally get all her rights in Sweden. Her flight has been cancelled by BA and rebooked twice now, and Norway has just announced it will quarantine everyone for 14 days, or send you home.
I was rubbing my hands two days ago after our Ethiopia flight could be rescheduled and with a day in Istanbul to boot. Now I am thinking accepting cancellation and claiming on the travel insurance would have been much more sensible. The situation is changing so much every day it is so difficult to know what is the best thing to do, and the only option seems to be being manically addicted to the news and FCO websites. It's funny to think yesterday I was watching websites hoping my holiday wouldn't be cancelled and today I'm thinking it would be better if it was cancelled because I'm not really sure what Ethiopian quarantine will be like if I end up having to go there...
Mum has her upcoming operation to think about, so I can safely say my holiday is much less important than other people's problems!
Here are some sheep in the lovely town of Hawkesbury Upton!
