Blinding

I admired this tree and its cast shadow many times when passing it on the ski lift. From above, the stark shadow shape is even more evident, but because its location is right before disembarking at 10,046', I didn't feel comfortable with my iphone out.

I just love the twisted branches and the pattern of the shadow on the snow. I don't know whether it's alive or not, but there are similar trees around about that are obviously decaying.

When I took my goggles off to take the photo, the snow was blinding and it was a case of pointing the iphone in roughly the right position to take the shot. Unfortunately I clipped the shadow on the right of the frame which I only noticed afterwards.
