Magnolia tree

There are quite a lot of magnolia trees out now, but we liked this one outside the main door to Little St Mary's church. The cottages on the right were built for college servants in the eighteenth century. Previously there were homes for the bargees who brought corn and coal to the Mill Pond in the thirteenth century! Recently Stephen Hawking, the physicist lived in Number 5 with his young family, and his children played in the overgrown churchyard.
