Monkey puzzle

This is a small traffic island at the end of a link one way road which is intended to slow the traffic. It has been taken over by local residents, and carefully planted mostly with perennial flowers like daffodils and Michaelmas daisies. However a few weeks ago someone planted this monkey puzzle tree - and it is thriving! I do not know if it is going to make weeding rather more dangerous......
