Not stockpiling

Just Leo getting his usual supplies in! He has one in the bathroom and the others in various sports bags so he is never in a Lynx deficit situation. Teenage boys must be partly responsible for the ozone depletion.

We popped to Tesco today and it was chaos - queues worse than Christmas. Thankfully we were only picking up a paper for mum and a few bits and bobs, so we could nip through a basket till and didn’t have to wait behind the long queues of trolleys piled high.

We still rang the bells this morning, even though some Towers have stopped. If the self isolation plans for the over 70s come in soon then we may need to think again as a fair few of our ringers are in that category. If they ban gatherings of 5+ people that will also call a halt to things. At least we have our Ellacombe chimes so that just needs one of us in the tower.

Mum and Dad were listening to the news of a possible four month self isolation period for them. We had better get some good weather if it comes to that so that the garden can be used. It will be enough to drive you stir crazy otherwise. At least we are on hand to do any running around that’s needed, but we’ll also need to take care not to bring the virus home with us.

Nina is still trying to sort travel plans. She is heading back to us tomorrow and at some point will have to do an airport dash so she can get home to Canada. Her original return ticket is for next weekend but she is keen to get going earlier if she can.

We had news from the Uni that a student has been diagnosed with the virus. They headed home abroad and were diagnosed there, so for now the campuses are remaining open for business as usual.

Hope you are all doing okay amidst this outbreak.
