Skaill (Day 1776)

After the woofer wander was out of the way this morning, the first job of the day was to look at a few issues in a rented property.
The landlady had organised for the tenant to be in, so I was a little surprised to have to hammer on the door to get an answer. The tenant had been asleep and hadn't expected me. Of the three jobs I was supposed to be doing, the tenant said two didn't need done and the other one only took a couple of minutes. It felt like a bit of a waste of time.
I had expected the jobs to take the majority of the morning so was able to head to town to get to a customer who wanted a kitchen tap changed.
Back home for lunch and to clear some stuff out of the van before heading back to town to collect pellets for the boiler. A much easier task in the new van as the pallet could be put straight into the back. I collected some bits for a job tomorrow, then ran a few errands including a trip to Tesco. I wish I hadn't gone there. It was incredibly busy and there were a lot of people clearly panic buying. I watched as one woman was incredibly rude to staff in the shop. I don't understand the urge to panic buy, or the mindset which allows people to be so rude to each other. Covid 19 is no excuse.
A trip through to the horses with  my beautiful wife later calmed me down a bit.
